Zero waste and minimalism is not a goal it’s a lifestyle

I started my zero waste consciousness at the end of 2018 when I got into downsizing a lot of my things following the Konmari and Minimalist movement at the time, since then I have been listening and learning about how to apply the principles in my life. I knew that this was a journey, much like when I journeyed into reusable period products instead of disposable ones, and not something that would happen over night, so I started with not changing things but observing and taking an inventory of my back pack the small one that I use to carry around my day to day essentials. I found that I did not need fifty percent of the items I had and that made my bag really light after I took that 50% out. Today I still routinely check my bag for non essentials and most of the time I can still find them there. No one is ever truly zero waste or a minimalist but we can all work towards that goal by changing the way we think and doing things gradually.
