Week 17 of my Body Recomposition

I started the week off with 144 lbs which was where I was in Week 7 and I have been hovering between 142.5 to 145 lbs the last 10 weeks. Based on this graph I can say that I have hit a major plateau for 10 weeks now. My calories were at 1,400 a day for the month of May and at 1,300 for the month of June. Right now I’m at the highest ever at 1,500 calories a day and I’m still hovering at the same weight range since the middle of May. I’m not keen on lowering my calories as highly suggested by April from Smalletics. Based on the PWRFL Macros Workshop I could actually stay at maintenance calories which I put at a minimum of 1,500 to 1,700 max and just focus on lifting, hypertrophy, and progressive overload.

Looks like a major plateau.

My training from April to May was focused on body weight strength by doing level 1 and 2 of the True Strength Builder series by Dylan Werner on Alo Moves Yoga. I also did a few classes on learning the front walk over and I ended up having too much strain on my wrists that I had to lay off of handstands for a while so I’m taking a break from that right now and focusing on lifting, hypertrophy, and progressive overload. I’m currently following Jeremy Ethier’s Lean program and I find it very informative and matches the science I learned from my Fitness and Weight-loss Diploma.

Progress Pictures

In my previous post I placed an image that show my April photo beside my June Photo and the difference was huge. Right now this is where I’m at the weight from May to August has been in the same range however the June image is distinctly leaner than that of the May photo. Now the photo of August isn’t that huge of a difference from the July photo but there is still a few degrees of leanness between the two. So at this point I’d stick to my current calories and see how I could progress with my training instead. I’m only almost done with my first month at this maintenance calorie setting and I’m allowed 5 months to stay here if I wanted to and see where my training would go. Slow and steady is the game plan right now and hopefully I get to see my metabolism going up soon!
