Now I’ve seen a lot of videos on how Kim Kardashian has given women in business horrible advice but I wanted to break it down in this blog because it’s not that I agree with her on all levels but I am giving my opinion on my personal understanding of her statement.

The facts are that she has really had a very blessed life with who her parents are and who she grew up with and all the connections and opportunities she had because of who she is, but at the same time from what I know of the well known facts about her is that she has not always been the most responsible person, like she did in fact rise to fame because of a video scandal and of course her brief association being a personal assistant or something to Paris Hilton. So keeping that in mind I personally think this is where she is coming from. Essentially she is just talking to and about people like her or similar to her when she says that she feels like no one likes to work nowadays.

Another fact is that a lot of people like her who have wealthy parents and grew up with a lot of the right people don’t really do anything with the opportunities that they are presented with. Of course when you are surrounded by the right people and are part of the circle of those people it would take a lot less effort to put things in motion, but the person would have to do it as well and not just sit around all day looking at Instagram posts.

So my understanding of what she said is specifically geared towards people who are of the same economic level as her, in the sense that since they already have everything within arms reach all they have to do is reach out their arms and grab those opportunities and do something with it. When she says, no one likes to work, she means people like her who already have things but do nothing else other than spend what they have, a trust fund, or an allowance or any other financial support.

Her statement should have had a disclaimer that says: this advice is only applicable to trust fund babies and others in the same economic class as me (as in Kim) and because she didn’t she now sounds like an insensitive rich girl who lives in a bubble of her own world.
